We first saw Elowah Falls in July 2003. McCord Creek runs so low during the summer that the wind blows the waterfall to the side. It's pretty cool to see, and of course the setting is beautiful.

That's not a very good picture, but it gives you some idea. Too bad I didn't capture the rocks at the base. The water was making intesting patterns as the falls shifted around.
Last winter was a bit more wet than this one. There was an ephermal waterfall flowing from the cliff to the west that reminded me a lot of how Elowah looked during the summer. I was looking forward to seeing it again this year, but alas, it wasn't there.
