This is Cathi's grandpa, Poppa Sam. He's ninety years old this past thursday and still going strong.
We had a big family lunch at a downtown chinese restaurant today to celebrate.

Sam just keeps going. I came over to his house one day not too long ago and found him coming down off the roof from fixing
a leak. He's one of those kind of guys who has just about any tool or part or thing you'd ever need for just about any job.
His garage is a magical place, a modern curiosity shop filled to overflowing with odds and ends, many things I don't even have
words for. And he knows where every little bobbin, thingamabob and whatsit is in that jam packed place.

Happy birthday, Sam. I hope my garage is like that someday!
