20060419 / Tigers Feast at the Coliseum

Oakland Coliseum / Oakland, CA

The Detroit Tigers visited Oakland tonight and feasted on the hometown Athletics, 11-4.

These fellows celebrated when Frank 'Big Hurt' Thomas tied it up in the bottom of the
second inning, but their high fives and elation wouldn't last all that long.

Did you "root, root, root for the home team" or was it "bless you boys"? Nothing like a ball park early in the season. Great fan shots, too. Voting for the visitors, this time,

The feel reminds me of the dying days of September, that cool near-autumn light.

Super lighting. I like the way the evening seems to be dying so elegantly while the grounds are firing up with light for the show ahead.. Love the pristine whites of the matchstick-like players too.
